Caffe Sospeso "Suspended Coffee"

Caffe Sospeso is one of the most humanitarian deed I recently came into knowledge of. Caffe Sospeso or Suspended Coffee is a tradition which took off from Italy. Today it is also practised in Bulgaria. Bulgaria is one of the most poor country of the European Union, with a sparking social unrest. The Caffe Sospeso initiative got a warm reception in many societies. Here is a story I read about it.

Shara Jean shares her story. She and her friend heard while going to their table. Two men ordered 5 coffees, out of which 3 were suspended. Later 7 more coffees were ordered by 3 lawyers, out of which 4 were suspended. The mystery for the the puzzled witness of the act of kindness was very enthralling.
Then entered in the cafe an old man, who appeared to be in rags. The poor beggar comes to the counter and kindly asks 'Do you have any suspended coffee?'
The question was the answer to everything she was wondering about. The concept was simple. As a lending hand for the people in need the tradition of Caffe Sospeso began. The people paid for Suspended Coffee in advance and who ever in need came and asked for it.
The humanitarian initiative has spread across many parts of Europe. Italy, Bulgaria and Moscow have Cafes who have started this initiative. This is a selfless act of kindness which I urge to any one who reads this to act upon it. I wish that my country Pakistan's society soon gets influenced from the tradition of Caffe Sospeso.
Caffe sospeso or Suspended Coffee is just an example of what the society has the potential of doing. Just imagine if within a few orders 7 coffees were suspended than how many coffees, sandwiches and even meals might be getting suspended all over the world, each minute!! Just imagine the possibilities we can achieve if we set our minds at it.
Please do share acts of kindness you might have done or witnessed in your life, which made someones day :-)
