Society: Taking up arms

What has become of our society? No sense of security. No sense of freedom. Men are not safe from thugs and gangsters. Businesses are not safe from Mafia's and greedy or corrupt politicians. Women are not safe from men. The chain goes on. The rule of the jungle has overruled in the land of the educated and sophisticated Human Beings. The cycle of the prey and the predator exists in our society as well.
In recent years many destructive incidents have occurred in the human society. The society which is supposed to be led with security and freedom. Collapse of Governments, Civil wars and other sort of protests have twisted the very fabric of the society. The people now are done attacking with only words and intelligence. But now each and every cause of the society is sought out by taking up arms.
Let's go a a decade back in the history. the 9/11 incident is a very good example for it. The anti-American extremists took up arms to fight for their radical and violent cause. The Bush Government in response took up arms as well. The cause: to eradicate terrorism which hinders the U.S.A's sense of freedom, security and Governance in the society.
Many extremist groups like the Taliban, Shiv Sena or Jewish Defence League are just a few examples of the groups which have taken up arms for their cause. The cause which they believe is for the security of the society.
Currently two incidents which are covering the Headlines around the world are the Syrian civil war and the Delhi gang rape. In both these regions the protesters haven taken up arms. The Syrian rebels have taken up arms to fight for their cause, on the other hand civilians after only a months training are fighting for the security of their own society. While in India after the Delhi gang rape incident Knives and chili powder were distributed amongst the women in major cities. This was done to protect them and the society from the harm of the society itself.
In both these scenarios the disturbance in the society is caused within the society. So the prey to defend it's own interest in the society took up arms. Freedom and security in the society can't be achieved until peace is made and peace can't be made until everyone is given a say in the betterment of the society.
